2025 C.A.M.P. Graduate

From a young age in Pakistan, Tooba Sindhu had a deep love for learning. Education was always part of her future, and college was never a question. What she didn’t expect was how complex and overwhelming the college process would feel after arriving in the United States.

At just 18 years old, Tooba fled her home country due to religious persecution and began rebuilding her life in a new place, culture, and education system. Determined to move forward, she began thinking seriously about college as soon as she entered high school, but the process quickly became confusing.

Like many students navigating college preparation for the first time, especially in a new country, Tooba faced uncertainty about admissions requirements, career pathways, and how to turn her academic interests into a clear plan.

Through guidance, exploration, and support, Tooba was able to reflect on her strengths and interests and make important decisions about her future. After a job shadowing opportunity at a medical office, she ruled out medicine and discovered her true passion: a career in aerospace engineering.

Tooba’s story is one of resilience, curiosity, and determination. Her journey highlights the importance of access to guidance and support, especially for students overcoming extraordinary challenges. With clarity and confidence, Tooba is now on a path toward a future of purpose and possibility. In college, she will pursue a professional internship at her dream company, NASA.
